When it comes to shredding trails speed isn’t everything, it’s about looking damn good too. Deity’s super slick and performance orientated components allow you to max out on both of those things, giving you the edge you’ve always needed to crush the off-road competition and look mighty fine while doing so.

Who are Deity?

Deity are a premium mountain bike brand based in the US, designing and manufacturing some of the best components that money can buy. They’re 100% rider owned, operated, designed and funded, meaning that every single decision they make has been made by riders, for riders.

Their components feature on a number of pro rider’s bikes, most notably two British pros – Brendan Fairclough and Tracy Moseley. These riders have been racing Deity components at some of the world’s biggest mountain bike events for the past couple of seasons and swear by their speed, durability and smoking good looks.

Despite building a massive name for themselves in the MTB world, Deity didn’t begin distributing in the UK until earlier this year. Their components have since boomed in popularity and it seems like nearly everyone in the UK MTB scene is trying to get their hands on some. Thankfully, here at The Bike Factory, we have a number of their products in stock, ready and waiting for you to snaffle them up and break them in on the local trails.

What are they best known for?

All of the greatest MTB component manufacturers, like Deity, Renthal, Hope and Nukeproof, are best known for their handlebar and stem combos. It’s these components that are perhaps the most important of the lot, especially if you’re building a specialised enduro or downhill rig.

Their Copperhead Stems are renowned as one of the best models of stem in the business. They’re CNC machined from a solid block of 6061 T6 aluminium and then laser-etched with custom Deity graphics, making for one incredibly durable and stylish stem.

The Copperhead Stem is available in a number of different sizes, giving you the choice to go stubby or go long, depending on your riding style and the kind of trails you have in mind.

Their Black Label handlebars are the perfect accompaniment to the Copperhead Stem, the pair combining together to create a super stiff and responsive cockpit. Their bars are incredibly wide, 800mm, and are available with 15mm, 25mm or 38mm of rise, offering you the choice of building an aggressive trail bike or a full-blown downhill slugger.

The bars are constructed from a super-strong butted aluminium and are given wide centre spacing to further increase their strength. This makes them a fantastic choice on hard-hitting trail bikes looking to crush rock gardens and glide over gnarly surfaces.

These Black Label handlebars from Deity aren’t their only components with World Cup proven pedigree, their pedals have been slaying at World Cup events too. Deity have a number of pedal choices in their lineup, from their grippy TMAC pedals optimised for downhill racing to their lightweight Bladerunners built for long-distance trail hopping.

It would be tough to talk about Deity and not mention their famous Knuckleduster grips. Grips often get overlooked when you’re on the market for a new MTB, but not these ones from Deity, they stand out and for all the right reasons. They’re constructed from an incredibly durable rubber compound and manufactured in a massive range of colours – what’s not to love?
