By registering on this website you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
When acknowledgement of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us.
We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you a "confirmation of order". We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
The cost of delivery as stated on your order.
We can usually arrange bike deliveries between 9.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday. You will be contacted to arrange a convenient time once your order has been processed.
If you are unavailable to take delivery of your order then you can request that our courier leaves it in a safe place or with a neighbour. However, we regret that we can accept no responsibility for subsequent damage that may occur, once the order has been left at the delivery address.
If at a first attempt the courier fails to deliver the order then they will leave a card and it will be up to the recipient to make arrangements to receive the order from them. The courier will try to deliver the order once more free of charge, after this they will charge out at their standard rate, this will be advised by the courier at the time of arranging any subsequent deliveries.
Returns, Refunds and Cancellation Policy
Returns: If order(s) is broken or spoiled when it is delivered then you should notify us as soon as possible or in any case within 7 days of delivery, otherwise the returns policy becomes invalid. You will have the option of returning the whole order or just the affected items. You can notify us by email email@example.com or by post by writing to The Bike Factory, 153-161 Boughton, Chester, CH3 5BH. All refunds under this returns policy will be paid within 30 days of you notifying us, providing that the merchandise has been collected by our courier, any items being returned must be in their original packaging to prevent any further damage.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found athttp://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
Cancellations: You can cancel an order at any time up to 7 days from the date of delivery as long as the items remain intact by contacting us via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or by post by writing to The Bike Factory, 153-161 Boughton, Chester, CH3 5BH. You will have responsibility for looking after the items until we collect it, we will reimburse the price of the items within 30 days from the date of which you inform us that wish to cancel the order, provided that the order has been collected by the courier.
Unfortunately from time to time items may become unavailable, we will do our best to minimise this occurrence however if it should happen then we will contact you to suggest an appropriate alternative, please note that we will not charge you until the order is ready to be dispatched.
Price & Payment
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling. Our prices include value added tax, and duty unless otherwise specified. Any delivery charges are additional. We accept payment by Access, Delta, Mastercard, Solo, Switch/Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron. Payment for goods is in advance only, however, we only charge once an order is ready to dispatch.
We utilise secure servers and secure socket layer technology for the transfer of credit card details, we will continue to implement the latest technology as it becomes available to guarantee our customers peace of mind and safe shopping. There are also security measures in place to protect our customer database and access to it is restricted within the company.
We can appreciate the frustration of unsolicited mail, so under no circumstances will we pass on any of our valued clients details with out their permission. However, where we feel that we have a genuine offer or a piece of news, we will let our customers know. If you do not require this information then please send an email email@example.com with unsubscribe in the message heading.
Data collected by this site is used to:

Price Match (Price Promise)
At the bike factory we guarantee not to be beaten on price for any item we stock. If you find a lower price for the same product, we promise to match it. Applies to UK customers only as cost of transportation is prohibitive
You can also request a price match over the phone on 01244 317893 or at any of our stores. Please note we can only price match a single item online, to match multiple items call us or come in store.
Conditions: Only identical items (including colour and size variations), in stock and available for immediate delivery/collection from an authorised UK retailer will be price matched. Comparison value includes delivery charges. Printed evidence of offer may be required; our staff will verify the offer. The competitors price must be available to all customers and exclude any personal discounts. Not available on non-UK retailers or auction sites. Cannot be used in conjunction with any offer or discount.
Trade Up! Scheme
Trade in discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or competitor Price Match.
Once traded in, bikes are the property of The Bike Factory and cannot be returned to the customer even in the event of a refund. The trade in discount on a new bike depends on the price of the new bike, not the condition of the old one. We will give you £20 off for your bike if the new one is priced between £170-300, £30 off for your bike if the new one is priced between £300-500, £50 off if the new one is £500-750, £75 off if it’s £750-£1000, £100 off if the new one is £1000-1500, £150 off if it’s £1500-£2000, £250 off if it’s £2000-£5000 and £500 off a bike over £5000. Cannot be used when buying an Ex-Demo or Soiled bike.
Free Helmet promotion is available on Trade ins where new purchase value is £500 or greater.
Helmet up to the value of £50 for bikes priced between £500-750,
Helmet up to £75 if it’s £750-£1000,
Helmet up to £100 if the new bike is £1000-1500,
Helmet up to £150 if the new bike is £1500-£2000
Helmet up to £200 if the new bike is £2000-£3000
Any helmet if the new bike is £3001 +
