The Crossmax SL Ultimate 25 29 Disc by Mavic delivers unparalleled performance for those seeking the upper hand during cross country races. This incredibly dynamic XC wheelset, known for its lightness, speed, and firmness, has been designed specifically with professional athletes' inputs.
The new carbon Adaptive layup technology enables a weight-light reduction of 70g per rim, with a 25mm wide rim weighing only 340g. Besides, this special carbon rim layup ensures remarkable rim stiffness and added control during descending, thanks to the double-butted, two-cross spoke pattern enhancing vertical compliance.
The wheel features Mavic's unique Infinity hub design, along with 24 straight-pull spokes, which significantly improves stiffness and offers better balanced spoke tension, contributing to efficient power transfer.
Developed with Adaptive layup carbon technology, the wheel has strategically placed carbon layering at the spokes, allowing the manufacturing of these carbon rims with less material, hence, reducing weight without compromising stiffness and strength. A lightweight rim yields higher acceleration, climbing efficiency, and a more responsive trail feel.
The carbon rim is laced with 24 straight pull double butted spokes, all identical in length. The lacing is arranged in the pattern of two-cross for optimal power transfer and enhanced vertical compliance. The new lightweight Infinity hub design optimizes lateral stiffness, and the well drawn out spoke lacing equally distributes the power.
Mavic's Instant Drive 360 freewheel with a double ratchet system provides fast engagement and high stiffness, enabling faster acceleration from corners. The rear hub can be attached with Shimano HG9, Micro Spline, and SRAM XD driver bodies.
The USL tubeless technology gives you enhanced control and traction, while also reducing inertia and flats. Further, unique features like the QRM Auto bearing preload technology guarantee the best spin with no play in the long run.
