Super Record Skeleton brakes are the result of a very careful study of every single detail. The Skeleton structure permits lightness and rigidity. The geometry differentiated between front and rear ensures maximum braking power on the front wheel and great progressiveness for the rear. The screws are also titanium adding the the lightness of the brakes. A maximised weight ratio was desired when designing the Skeleton brakes and to achieve this body material was removed towards the outermost side away from the axis of the caliper arms.Greater rigidity combined with even lower weight was the goal targeted by Campagnolo's engineers when designing the skeleton� brakes. A combination that enriches virtually every groupset in the Campag range from Veloce� through to the range topping Record.Ahead of all its competitors on the market Campagnolo has always pair particular attention to obtaining effective braking in all cycling conditions by modulating front braking compared with the rear.Skeleton� brakes have also been designed with this criterion: thanks to its double-fulcrum architecture the front brake is able to grip the rim with around 70% of the total braking force; the rear brake which only has a single fulcrum stops the rear wheel from swerving � due to the lightening of the rear � thanks to the application of a force that is lower than at the front. The single pin structure also makes it possible to save a few grams compared with the double-fulcrum one.
